Ayda - Dental Studentby Jabir Kazi
Introducing @aydaa.i a final year dental student from the Gold Coast, Australia.
Getting into dentistry was a long, winding road for me. There were times where I felt like giving up and doubted myself; but I decided to push through because you don’t give up on what you love. I learnt that failure is a form of success if you look at it at a different perspective. It’s just an opportunity to try something different. Dentistry can be a difficult degree at the best of times and it’s important to keep yourself grounded and learn to deal with set backs, criticism, and stressful situations.
That perseverance will make you a better dentist in the long run. If I could give my younger self any advice is that hard work pays off, so just learn to enjoy the ride rather than fixate on the final destination. Although it didn’t feel like it at the time moving into my final year of dentistry and feeling happy with where I’m at, I can say, having two other degrees was actually a blessing in disguise 🤓 Outside of dentistry I try to stay active and have other passions like music, fashion and interior design.
