Ayesha Aziz - Dental Studentby Jabir Kazi
Introducing Dental student Ayesha Aziz from Pakistan
Since my pre teen years, I always had a dream of joining dentistry. From first year to third year, there were so many failures, so much stress, I felt like giving up but I didn’t. Last year, I had the chance to see dentistry more clinically rather than the theories or the phantom heads we practiced on. Interacted with patients. Even, performed scaling. Assisted surgeries. Extracted mobile teeth.
Everything from even moving the dental chair up and down to holding the extraction forceps was absolutely amazing. My dream is to become an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon, someday. What I’d tell to all those who’re struggling through everything happening right now, the tooth models being rejected or your work isn’t good enough, never give up. You might think, that you can’t do this. But, you can and you will. In the end, everything is going to be worth it. You’re chosen to serve humanity, God has chosen you for something big. Something great. Don’t give up. Outside of dentistry, I’m just a girl who loves books, photography with my very own hashtag #AyeshaSomewhere and coffee!
